　　总是用&五毛钱特效&？
　　星爷说：&观众欣赏的不是特效本身，而是你的创意。&
　　周星驰是华语电影中接触特效比较早的一位。他自己也表示从2000年的《少林足球》开始，就已经全面地使用了特效。之后的《功夫》、《长江七号》、《西游降魔篇》也都是有很多的特效镜头。只不过很多随着中国电影特效技术的日新月异，周星驰电影里的特效画面看起来就显得有些粗糙，所以也有人评论为&五毛钱特效&。
　　星爷听后很诧异：&效果不好吗？哪里不好？&五毛钱特效&？那不可能。特效这个方面，我不会说自己是专家，因为有时候你接触得越多，越觉得自己懂得太少。但是我应该是一个比较早投身特效又比较有经验的导演，我对特效是又爱又恨。恨是因为它是一个很辛苦的过程，但是一旦你做出你想要的效果，那种满足感也超级大。现在的电影应该是少不了特效，不然那些有想象力的画面要怎么去表现？但是，我们整天说特效多好多好，其实不是，是你的IDEA有多好。观众欣赏的不是特效本身，而是你的创意，其实特效就是将你的创意去表现出来。&
　　在星爷看来，特效好是必须的，但一个电影里特效、演员、对白、剧本这些环节都是一样的，目的就是将创意体现出来。&所以最后回到一个问题，那就是你的创意究竟是什么？为什么每次我的电影里都坚持讲一个有创意的故事？因为观众要看新东西。&
　　记者又问星爷这些年来怎样保持这种&创意&的灵感来源，他说：&有时候也要看看书，听听音乐。枯竭当然有，所以要经常问问别人。&
